Individual  Therapy

Here you'll have the space to come as you are as we work together to help you cultivate a more fulfilling life - whatever that looks like for you!  Your treatment is tailored to your specific needs depending on your presenting issues, communication preferences, etc.  The frequency of your sessions and duration of your treatment are also individualized; some people may only need short-term support while others may benefit from therapy over an extended period.  After our first few sessions together, I'll be able to recommend the best course of treatment.  My therapeutic style is person-centered and strengths-based, and my clinical work is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques.

Online Therapy

I'm happy to offer online therapy if you prefer to meet from the comfort of your couch, bed, car, or wherever is most comfortable, as long as you're within the state of California or the state of Arizona.  You can find comfort in knowing that with online therapy, you can still receive the same amazing benefits and results of traditional in-office therapy.

I use a secure HIPAA compliant platform to ensure your privacy and confidentiality while enabling face-to-face conversations. When you schedule an appointment, I will send you a private, secure link via email, enabling you (and only you) to connect by video at the time of your appointment.  You can log on from your phone, tablet, or computer.  All you need is an internet connection, as well as a quiet and well-lit space with no distractions.

Providing superbill invoice for insurance coverage for therapy

Out-of-Network Services

My practice is contracted with select health insurance providers: Aetna, Optum, and United Healthcare. If your health insurance provider and I are not contracted and you are eligible for out-of-network services, I'll provide you with paperwork (i.e., a superbill invoice) to submit to your insurance provider for partial reimbursement. Payment for you therapy service is due at the time of your appointment.

Please note: If you are requesting superbills: 1) You must meet the criteria of a mental health diagnosis, 2) You might have limits on session modality, time, and frequency, 3) Your therapy will require “medical necessity” for coverage. I will not provide superbills if you don’t meet the full criteria for a qualifying mental health disorder.

Please contact your insurance provider to determine your coverage (see the FAQ page for more information).

The Process:
What to Expect &
How to Get Started

Step one: Schedule a Consultation

During your consultation, we'll briefly discuss what's bringing you to therapy and what you're hoping to get out of the process.  This will be a good time to ask questions you might have about therapy or my practice, and most importantly, to see if we're a good fit for each other. Schedule a consultation by completing this form.

Step two:
Intake
Forms

Once you agree to start therapy, you'll receive an email inviting you to the client portal, where you can complete your intake paperwork, which must be completed before your initial assessment.  The intake packet will cover important information about my practice, including my practice policies, service fees, etc.

Step three:
Initial Assessment

During your initial assessment, I will learn more about you, your history, the current challenges you're experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. We will review my practice policies, confidentiality, as well as information regarding session structure and the treatment process

Step four:
Begin Your Journey

We'll meet weekly so that we can form a solid foundation for our work together.  During our first few sessions, I'll ask you to share as much as you can about your life, and as therapy unfolds, we'll explore and unpack underlying themes.  We'll continue to meet weekly until you're ready to move on without regular sessions.
