About Me
Hi, I'm Jasmine. I'm a licensed psychotherapist (CA Lic. # 99171) specializing in therapy for young adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. I am so happy you're here and are considering therapy. I would be honored to join you on your journey and to help you cultivate clarity in yourself and your life direction. Together, we will work on achieving your goals authentically and purposefully.
A Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic Approach to Therapy
My clinical work is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I integrate these modalities through an attachment and trauma framework, as I believe that all prior attachment and early life experiences shape the beliefs that we hold about ourselves, the world, and others.

Building insight through self-reflection & self-awareness
Nurturing & embracing your inner strengths
In psychodynamic therapy, our work together will consist of exploring early experiences and family relationships in order to understand your patterns, behaviors, and the deep-seated beliefs you might have about yourself, the world, and others. We will work together on developing more adaptive habits and behaviors through self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-examination.
My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning I believe everyone already has natural strengths and resources within themselves to foster the personal growth and change they are seeking. Together, we'll nurture and enhance these strengths while using cognitive behavioral techniques to identify unhelpful thought patterns that might be getting in the way. We'll explore your values, strengths, and interests and help you align with them through practical tools you can adapt each day.
Aligning with Self
Through our work together, you can expect to feel a deeper connection to yourself, which will help improve your ability to make better decisions, maintain healthy boundaries, connect with your values and interests, and learn to embrace who YOU are! Self-compassion is integral in aligning with your process and helping you practice self-kindness while you sort through it.
My Core Values:
Authenticity is integral to the therapeutic relationship.

You are your own expert.

Your needs are a priority.

Change doesn't happen overnight; trust the process.

My Story
I love helping others and have always had a passion for it. Growing up, I remember spending holidays at food and toy drives, giving to families in need. Over time, my family tradition of giving back blossomed into my career as a mental health therapist, and now I have the opportunity and honor of getting to know people and helping them on a deeper level.
I believe the basis of my work involves building authentic, trusting relationships, which I help cultivate by allowing you to get to know me as well. (In fact, one of the most important factors in treatment success is the therapeutic alliance; or in other words, the relationship between therapist and client).

So here it is! I have lived in California my whole life and am all for the good weather, beaches, and TACOS! I grew up in San Bernardino, California but have lived throughout the Inland Empire. I earned a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University-Dominguez Hills. I've worked with people of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults) in school-, community -, and medical settings -- all of which have been challenging but rewarding in their own way.

When I'm not working with clients, you can find me cozied up in my bed, resting and recharging, eating good food, binge-watching a really good TV show, or spending time with family.

Anyhow, enough about me, I would love to hear more about you!
