young adults feeling anxious about life and the future

Outdoor & online therapy in California for young adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem, and life transitions

Does this sound like you?

You get anxious, depressed, and feel overwhelmed when you think about your future.

You find yourself repeating the same patterns and going through the motions of your day with very little sense of purpose, enthusiasm, and interest.

You feel disconnected from your inner voice and have a hard time setting realistic expectations for yourself and setting boundaries with others.

You're struggling to find your path and feel a lot of pressure to have everything all figured out.

Like yourself, many 20- and 30-year-olds feel a sense of overwhelm as they navigate the new challenges, changes, and transitions of adulthood. The stress of managing your responsibilities, maintaining a social life, defining your career path, facing unresolved childhood trauma, etc. etc. can feel really daunting.

Up until this point, you've been checking off boxes to measure your success in life because society tells us that adulthood arrives when we've reached certain markers of relational and financial success, and yet something is still missing.

You know you want more in life than to just go through the motions, but don't know how to break free from the feelings of uncertainty, dread, and anxiety.

You are not alone.

What if you had the tools to feel more grounded and at ease while you develop confidence and clarity in yourself and your life direction?

Therapy can help you develop self-awareness and self-compassion to feel more confident about who you are and what you want in life

 Hi, I'm Jasmine Wilson.

I'm a licensed psychotherapist (CA Lic. #99171) and owner of Adaptive Resolutions Counseling Services. I help men and women in their 20s and early 30s live in alignment with their authentic selves while problem-solving the things from the past or present that might be getting in the way.  I aim to create a space where you can feel fully seen and heard while making the changes you are seeking and taking confident steps toward your future.

Together, we can work on:

  • deepening your self-awareness.

  • learning how to put yourself first and rest without the stress that you “should” be doing more.

  • feeling secure in your decision-making skills.

  • releasing old habits that you've developed over time that no longer serve you.

  • finding clarity and direction in your life.

In therapy, you will learn practical concepts and skills that will transform how you relate to your thoughts, emotions, and yourself to start living a more fulfilling life.

"In our personal and professional lives, we are constantly hit with one adversity after the other, most of which we have no control over.  But the four things we have total control over is how we react, how we adapt, how we breathe, and how we take action."

Specialty AREAS

Experiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life.  But if you find that you're constantly worried, overthinking, and/or having difficulty sleeping at night, anxiety might be interfering with your daily functioning.  In therapy, we will collaborate to find effective anxiety-reducing techniques so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

Transitions are an unavoidable part of life.  They are challenging - even when positive - because they disrupt the familiar and require us to make a change.  If you're feeling stressed about an upcoming transition, don't know what's next in life, or are feeling upset about a recent change, I can help you prepare, find solutions, and cope through the process.

Do you have negative feelings about yourself and your abilities? Do you have low confidence, or frequently experience insecurity and self-doubt?  Like yourself, many people at some point in their lives have experienced low self-esteem and self-worth.  We will explore root causes and work on improving how you feel about yourself.

It's your time to adapt.

Create the space for change.
